San García Abad!

This year will be 11 groups, began on Saturday May 7 and will end on Sunday May 22 of this 2011. Children are a total of 156, our parish will receive their First Communion. Both our pastor, Rev. Jose Carlos Del Valle, as catechists, coordinated by Maribel Correro have prepared together with parents of children, this ceremony does so excited Catholics in its infancy.

In session Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 and 12:00 Masses, different groups are celebrating this ceremony so important for children, parents and sponsors, such as First Communion.

First Communion is celebrated in a solemn mass, which differs from a common mass that it will be dedicated exclusively for the special child who will receive Jesus Christ for the first time.

Then we will comment as led and conducted the ceremony. Entry

Our pastor, José Carlos, left the churchyard and there delivered a speech Welcome to children all very beautiful and with great enthusiasm, entered the temple in procession.

This entry is a symbol of welcome to all the People of God, represented by friends and relatives, give your child a member of the Church from this day to participate more closely in the life, growth and strengthening of the Body Mystical.

In front of the assembly were the parents and godparents of the child to remain at his side throughout the ceremony because they were the ones who introduced him to the Christian life in baptism, the baptismal vows made on their behalf and committed to teaching the faith and help always on his way to sainthood. The First Communion of his son and godson is a step you take in fulfilling that commitment.

readings.

In a First Communion Mass, readings, psalm and Gospel were read and recited by children, the logic of first-time excitement in these ceremonies.

During the Gospel reading for our pastor, children, listen carefully, being aware that it is the same God who is speaking in a personal way and with a specific message for him or her.

Homily

In a First Communion Mass, the homily is fully addressed to the child and his family. Our pastor, explained the content of the readings and the meaning of the sacrament which the child is about to receive, but did so in a language accessible to the child, addressing him by name and talking about their reality as a son, brother, friend and student.

Children, listen carefully. It is God who speaks through the priest and his words may leave an indelible mark on the soul of the child. Keep in mind that this is possibly the only sermon that addressed especially to hear him throughout his childhood and youth.

Renewal of baptismal promises

After the homily, Children stood with their parents and godparents and took out the renewal of baptismal promises. At this time the candle is lit the Easter candle.

is a very important moment, because the child knowingly makes promises that the day of baptism godparents made on their behalf. At that time the child verbally pronounce renunciation of Satan, his pomps and his works comes to Jesus Christ forever.

The prayer of the faithful

At this point the meeting, all present stood together to call aloud to God for the faithfulness and holiness of the child who made their First Communion. Also asked about things that matter to the whole Church: the Pope, the sick and the poor health of the grandparents, the repose of the deceased in the family, marriage and fidelity of their parents, in harmony siblings living together and the needs of family members.

These particular requests were made and thus repeated in these ceremonies in our church, for children who star in this ceremony.
All present joined in prayer for special intentions of the family.

Creed

All attendees stood up and uttered aloud the prayer of the Creed in which are summarized in twelve articles all the truths of the Catholic faith.

The child making First Communion confirms their faith in front of everyone present.

At this time the child making his First Communion offered to God his life, his aims and intentions, their love, their strengths and weaknesses, so that He sanctify and serve the good of the Church.

consecration

is the most solemn Mass which performs the real transformation of bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ.
God is present and expressed his great love again accepting the sacrifice of His Son that the child making his First Communion come to be closely united to Him

We see this wonderful mystery of love with the greatest respect and devotion and take the time to worship God in the Eucharist and thank him for his great love for mankind.

Communion

is the highlight of the ceremony, in which the child finally receive Jesus Christ under the species of bread and wine. The priest proceeds to the child and pronounce the words "The Body and Blood of Christ" to which the child responds "Amen", showing their faith in the sacrament in their own language and receive the consecrated wafer dipped in wine.

Then in addition to receiving Jesus, the child joins with joy and love to the whole Church, all Christians, getting the food that will give eternal life.

After communion is kept the sacred silence, in which the child comes into an intimate conversation with Jesus, thanking him for all he has received: life, faith, family, the precious gift of the Eucharist , asking forgiveness for all the times that did not behave as a worthy son of God and fell into sin and asking for the graces necessary to be a better Christian every day. This prayer always seems to end with a specific objective of improving life.

The final blessing

The ceremony ends with the blessing, which on the occasion of the First Communion is done in a more solemn than usual. Here the

our pastor, José Carlos, asking God to bless especially the child and his family to grant them the graces necessary to live fully as children of God's faithfulness and members of the Church.

And as we are in May, Month of Mary, Our Lady of Grace, we pray and we sing to our Mother, Mother of God.

After the ceremony, the children with their parents and godparents, they looked very happy and posing for photographs and thousands of willing to meet so many relatives and friends who had come from everywhere to celebrate with him or her, this great ceremony is an important day for Christians.

"Jesus, walk with us" (Gospel Sunday)

The story of the disciples of Emmaus we describe the experience of two followers of Jesus as they walk from Jerusalem to the small village of Emmaus, eight kilometers away from the capital. The narrator does so with such skill that helps us today also rekindle our faith in the risen Christ.

Two disciples of Jesus Jerusalem away from leaving the group of fans has grown up around it. Jesus died, the group unwinds. Without it, no sense to continue meeting. The dream has faded. When Jesus died, also died in the hope that he had awakened in their hearts. Is not this something is happening in our communities? Are we not allowed to die the faith in Jesus?

However, these disciples are talking about Jesus. They can not forget. Comment on what happened. Try to find some sense of what they have lived with him. "While talking, Jesus came and gets to walk with them." It is the first sign of the Resurrection. The disciples are unable to admit it, but Jesus is already present walking with them, do not walk today Jesus veiled with so many believers who leave the Church but I still remember?

narrator's intention is clear: Jesus is coming when the disciples remember and talk about it. This is where it says his gospel, where there is interest for his message, which talks about your lifestyle and your project. Is not Jesus so away from us because we speak little of it?

Jesus is interested in talking with them, "What conversation is that you bring as you walk along?" Is not imposed by disclosing your identity. Asked to continue to tell their experience. Talking with him will discover his blindness. They open their eyes when, guided by his word, take a tour inside. So. If the Church of Jesus talk more and talk more with him, our faith will revive.

The disciples speak of their expectations and disappointments, Jesus helps them delve into the identity of the crucified Messiah. The heart of the disciples began to burn, they feel need for that "unknown" to stay with them. As we celebrate the eucharistic meal, they open their eyes and recognize it: Jesus is with them!

we Christians remember Jesus, quoting his words, discuss your lifestyle, delve into your project. We must open the eyes of our faith and find out full of life in our Eucharist. No one has to be more present. Jesus walks with us.

He began to walk with them

1 .- Walking with Jesus

what beauty, what narrative force pours the evangelist Luke in this scene. Road to Emmaus, located eight miles from Jerusalem. Two of his disciples fled forever. If the Master is dead who were, what they paint their disciples? If you expected a victorious leader, a liberator of the people, what to expect now when everything is finished in a grave?

And while they all lost someone walks by his side. In his speech, made of sadness and defeatism, joins the friendly voice, unrecognized, which raises the spirits, they said a word to the heart and the sun shines in the heart of those fugitives. It's a beautiful way round, is an enviable spiritual path. A path from the dark night to the blinding light of God. How well lead us the symbols of this story: the way, the hospitality, stay with us break bread, opening his eyes.

of all, we remember the many men and women of today who, perhaps, left the Church but still remember, about Jesus, who knows if, at bottom, a nostalgia nestles in your heart.

2 .- Word

We enjoy three times the road.

two disciples begin elusive. Van disconsolate, sad. Only disillusionment and pessimism companions. Have lost their faith in Jesus. He was killed, when they expected as the future liberator of his people. Along with this failure, a delusion: yes, some women say it has risen, but he does not have happened. "We thought, but ..." repeated flattened.

And Jesus comes into his life, gets to walk with them. Encontradizo is an outsider, no dazzle to earn them. Start asking and is introducing a friendly in your life. Only then will explain the Scriptures, the meaning of apparent failure, the reason for your pain and death. Finally, it is left to invite to sit with them at the table. How not like these verbs we say every day: he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave it?

And the ending was happy, as long as we allow ourselves to be touched by Jesus. They opened the eyes of the disciples began to arderles the heart, leave the table, return to their community and communicate the joy: "It was true, the Lord is risen, we have known in the breaking of bread."

3 .- Life

Men and women, who walk every day, are involved in doubts, failures, depressions. Some went to the house of the church where, one day, they were happy. Others go sorry because those things that have sincerely believed had come to an end. Many repeated "we believed" ... that the coming of democracy, that the renewal of the Council, that the beautiful documents, new media, so many movements fighting for a fairer world ... so many things were going to light a more human harmony with the will of God and a Church more "full of youth and beauty clean" (Preface of the Immaculate), but how far is still the goal!

Just fill our desire an encounter with Jesus on the road. It is time to stay in the "buts" but let us accompanied by Jesus. And with it, read and ponder over His Word, open our hearts so that you can burn to feel your love, come to the table and eat, made bread and wine. We must feel like to invite and accept Jesus, "Stay with us." And, Jesus, we know that life is always found with others.

There are many who, perhaps, lost their faith but no love lost. They communicate what we have lived with Jesus. We encontradizos, we support, talking, sitting down with them. The stranger's humility, the simplicity of a good listener and ask the friendly conversation like Jesus walking are the best for the ad. In contrast, with tones of moral superiority, with an air of rescuers, with fingers inquisitors, we can never declare our faith : "Yes, the Lord is risen."

The Eucharist is the time to sit at table with Jesus.

reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (24:13-35):

Two disciples of Jesus were walking the same day, the first of the week, to a village called Emmaus, about two miles distant from Jerusalem, they were conversing about all that had happened. While talking and discussing, Jesus himself came and went with them. But his eyes were not able to recognize it.
He said, "What conversation is that you bring as you walk along?"
They stopped, looking downcast. And one of them, named Cleopas, answered him: "Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem who does not know what happened there in these days?"
He asked: "What?"
They replied: 'All about Jesus of Nazareth was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, how the chief priests handed and our leaders to be condemned to death and crucified him. We hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel. And you see: two days ago that this happened. It is true that some women in our group have astounded us: they were very early to the tomb, they found his body, they came back they had seen a vision of angels who told them that he was alive. Some of us went to the tomb and found it as the women had said, but he did not. "
Jesus said to them:" How foolish and stupid you are to believe what the prophets have spoken! Ought not the Messiah suffer and so enter into his glory? "Then beginning with Moses and the prophets, he explained what he referred to throughout Scripture.
As they approached the village where they were, he made a motion to move forward, but they urged him, saying, "Stay with us, for evening and the day is almost over."
he went in to stay with them. Sitting at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave it. They opened their eyes and recognized him. But he disappeared.
They commented: "Did not our hearts burning as he spoke to us the road and explained the Scriptures? "
And out at once and returned to Jerusalem, where they found the Eleven assembled together with their peers, they were saying: 'It was true, the Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon. "
And they told what had happened on the way and how he was known to break bread.

Word of the Lord

COMMENT.

celebrate the third Sunday of Easter. At this time we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, of this truth is reflected in the three readings, the liturgy proposes to us:

At first reading we see how Peter preached boldly at the heart of the Christian message: Jesus, credited to you in the miracles, whom you killed on the cross, God raised him.

The second reading says: "Through Christ you believe in God, who raised him and gave him glory."

In the Gospel, Luke offers us one of the accounts of Jesus' resurrection appearances made more and more beautiful. Invites us to discover the Gospel story of Jesus in Scripture, the Eucharist and in the Community.

Day first week. It sets the scene on Sunday, as in the rest of the stories of Jesus' resurrection appearances. Time, since Christ was resurrected, is eternal, is a place of encounter with God.

go back two disciples to Emmaus, discussing what happened. These disciples represent all hopeless of humanity, all anxious, all those who go through life without meaning, all those "back" of things. Having played all for Jesus, after having put it all illusions, now Jesus died on the cross and all who followed him were scattered. They return to their village, to continue his life, but again marked by the defeat, frustration.

Jesus makes traveling companion, but they were unable to see it. How many times Jesus has been with us in our life and only time we have suggests that in those circumstances he was with us! When one is immersed in despair remains unable to see other ways, to accept other presences. Jesus says: "What conversation is that you bring as you walk along?".

Are you the only one not you heard?, What? - Ask Jesus -. All about Jesus of Nazareth prophet mighty in deed and word, how our heads handed over and crucified him. We hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel. The hopes that were in Jesus were a political hopes of independence from the Roman people. They had come to discover the true Messiah in Jesus and still followed him. Keep saying it is true that some women have gone to the grave in the morning and startled us by saying that an angel told them he was alive. The apostles have gone to the grave, but he does not have happened.

Jesus begins to explain the Scriptures and how the Christ would suffer to enter heaven. You are so foolish and stupid to understand the Scripture, why are you troubled by the death of Jesus? Did you not know I had to suffer?. Did not we know that Jesus had to die before resurrecting?. Of course we know that the cross is the path of light, that passion leads to the resurrection, but when we have to go through the cross, in whatever form, we forget what we knew and the cross track and it breaks us .

When they reached the village, he turned to go and asked him to stay with us because the day is almost over!. Had intuited something to explain the Scriptures, had felt like something inside rose from the ashes of defeat. Remain, Lord! Stay Tuned! Without you we are confused, lost ...

And then they recognized the breaking of bread, and he disappeared. And commenting is not our hearts burning when we explained the scriptures?. It was as if Jesus had celebrated the Eucharist with them: he explained the scriptures and they broke bread, blessed.

What the disciples now is retracing the path of defeat and despair, will return to Jerusalem, the community they had left, to tell how they had recognized the Lord the breaking of bread. There they found the Eleven assembled with the other disciples. Is in the community where we can find the Lord.

As said earlier, this story is an invitation to discover the Lord in the Community, in the Scriptures and the Eucharist.

In the Community, where the disciples again. Jesus once said "where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am."

In the Scriptures, which is the Word of God, where we find what God has said and done.

And in the Eucharist, where we recognized in the breaking of bread. It is where Christ has been actually present.

To our knowledge, we discover the Lord and find him.

What's The Craziest Sorority Initiation

"Peace be with you "..." Do not be afraid." Today, a special day.

Terrified by the execution of Jesus, the disciples take refuge in a house known. Are meeting again, but Jesus is no longer with them. In the community there is a void that nobody can fill. We need Jesus. Can not hear his words of fire. They can not bless him with tenderness to the unfortunate. Who will now?

getting dark in Jerusalem and also in his heart. Nobody can comfort your sadness. Gradually, the fear is taking over all, but do not have Jesus to strengthen his mind. The only thing that gives them some security is "closing the doors." Nobody thinks of leaving the roads to preach the kingdom of God and heal the living. Without Jesus, how can they spread the Good News?

John the Evangelist describes in unsurpassed processing that occurs in the disciples when Jesus, full of life, is present in their midst. The Risen One is back in the center of his community of followers. This has to be forever. With him everything is possible: freedom from fear, opening doors and start evangelization.

According to the story, the first thing that Jesus gives to his community is his peace. Reproach for abandoning him, no complaints or disapproval. Only peace and joy. The disciples feel their creative spirit. Everything begins again. Driven by his Spirit, will continue to work throughout the centuries in the same project which the Father entrusted savior Jesus.

What the Church needs today is not only religious reforms and called to communion. Experience in our communities need a "fresh start" from the living presence of Jesus in our midst. Only he has to occupy the center of the Church. Only he can promote communion. Only he can renew our hearts.

our efforts are not enough jobs. It is Jesus who can trigger the change of horizon, the freedom from fear and suspicion, the new climate of peace and serenity I need to open the doors and being able to share the Gospel with men and women of our time.

But we must learn to accept in faith his presence among us. When Jesus returns to stand for eight days, the narrator tells us that the doors are still closed. It's not just Thomas who must learn to believe with confidence in the Resurrection. Also the other disciples are to go steadily overcoming the doubts and fears do they still live with the doors closed to evangelism.

"We have seen the Lord"

1.-Today we see the Lord

we felt we hope now that the scene is repeated. As the Day of Resurrection to his disciples: Christ stands among us, tells us, gives us his peace and sends us to be witnesses. Because Jesus had told us: "Where two or three are gathered in my name there am I with them." God is here at our Sunday Eucharist.
Today is Sunday. I like to remember the evangelist: "At dusk the first day of the week", "Eight days." Since that day, every Sunday, we evoke the risen Christ. A very long string of Sundays until today. Is it heritage we have received, and want to be faithful. Each Sunday, Mass is our first date. "Do not take away the Sunday Eucharist, we prefer to die" insisted those African martyrs.

2 .- Word

The Word of God is still watching the resurrected Christ. He always starts the play, takes the initiative and reaches out to yours. What a change, so fast and so deep, is set to the disciples. Were scared, until the doors had closed and bolted. Jesus comes and lights the scene: he speaks with affection, he shows them his wounds, and glorious, they "encouraged" ("he breathed on them"). And suddenly, if by God, men are transformed into resurrected. How well you draw San Juan:
Raised in peace: "Peace be with you." Raised by joy: "They were filled with joy." Resurrected to witness: "As the Father has sent me, I send you." Resurrected by the Spirit of God: "Receive the Holy Spirit." Raised for forgiveness: "Those who forgive are forgiven." Raised, full of life: "For that, believing ye might have life." That is, everything that had promised a few days before the Last Supper.
Thomas was not the first day. Appears to eight days. His wavering faith begins and ends beautifully. He had been out of their group, their community. And when he returns, takes a cocky tone, "Unless I see the imprint of the nails, I do not." But soon the goodness of the brothers and the teaching of Jesus turn away. No reproach or complaint. His companions, rather than a reprimand - "Where you've been?" - Give you the good news: "We have seen the Lord" are all merciful. And Jesus, rather than afearle their unbelief, invited Thomas to that, as this would, see and touch his wounds. At last, could not be otherwise-the wayward disciple surrenders the Master: "My Lord and my God." Easy to doubt, easy to believe.

3 .- Life

Who among us does not require the presence of the Risen Lord in your life? Only he can change us, make us kinder, more full of confidence in him. If he is with us, we also touch your peace, joy, His Spirit, His forgiveness. If he is with us, we too will be resurrected men. Note that people in our lives that we follow the Risen Lord. Let us not look aggressive, sad, pessimistic.
learn from Jesus and his disciples. The air of charity and mercy for all to Thomas, the doubting, can, even today, miracles. Many men and women "want to play", go looking for the truth of their lives are full of whys. They are sincere hearts, at last, fell victim to the mystery of God. The responsibility for us believers is very great. The arrogance, the theology of "no", the hardness of heart, judgmental word can never lead men to God.

Ultimately, we know that our approach and standard of living can only be Jesus. Jesus crucified and risen. The strategy of "closed doors", and act from fear or being defensive, leads to bitterness and sterility. At this time, the Church needs "breath" Passover of Jesus: more courage, more hope and courage. Open, not "close doors of fear." At the heart of God there is no death, only life.
And because today we begin the month of May, dedicated to Mother Mary, because it is the "Mother's Day, with Jesus sitting at the Mother of the Risen.
Like our ancestors, at the time of the Consecration, repeat the invocation of the Apostle: "My Lord and my God." And, to return to our daily lives, we cry, like the disciples: "We have seen the Lord."

Reading from the holy Gospel according to John (20.19 to 31):

the evening of that day, the first of the week, were the disciples in a house with the doors locked for fear of Jews.
And Jesus came and stood among them and said: "Peace be with you."
And so saying he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
Jesus repeated, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you. "
Having said this, he breathed breathed on them and said: "Receive the Holy Spirit, you forgive the sins, they are forgiven, who shall retain they are retained."
Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. And the other disciples told him: "We have seen the Lord."
He replied: "Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, if not put my finger in the hole of the nails and the hand in his side, I do not. "
After eight days, were again inside and Thomas with them disciples. Jesus came, the doors closed, stood in their midst and said, "Peace be with you."
Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing."
Thomas replied: "My Lord and my God!"
Jesus said: "Because I've seen you think? Blessed are those who believe without seeing. "
many other signs that are not written in this book, did Jesus view of the disciples. These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God and that believing ye might have life his name.

Word of the Lord

COMMENT.

Today is Divine Mercy Sunday, decreed by the Congregation for Divine Worship on 23 May 2000, at the direction of John Paul II: "The Feast of Divine Mercy is the main purpose to reach the hearts each person the following message: God is merciful and loves us all ... "And the bigger the sinner, the greater is the right of My mercy" (Diary, 723). In this message, that our Lord has sent us through Saint Faustina Kowalska, we are required to have full confidence in the Mercy of God, and to be always merciful to others through our words, actions and prayers ... "Because faith without works, however strong, is useless" (Diary, 742). "

We are on the Second Sunday of Easter, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. In a socio-religious study was done in the diocese for nearly 30 years, saw that there were more Christians, 95%, believers in the resurrection, 60%. It is difficult to accept the resurrection in real life. Today's celebration comes to say that it is difficult to believe in the resurrection out of the Christian community.

The Gospel tells us: "On the evening of that day, the first of the week, were the disciples in a house with the doors locked for fear of the Jews." The disciples were gathered together and Jesus appeared to them and tells them: "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." The mission of the Church begins after the resurrection. If Christ had not risen the apostles would have been locked up, scared, and would have preached the Gospel. In sending Jesus Christ which gives the Holy Spirit to accompany them in the mission, and the power to forgive sins.

after the Gospel says that "Thomas did not was with them when Jesus came. "One thing that is presented as the reason for the disbelief of Thomas. An interesting fact that comes to say that apart from the community you can not believe in the resurrection, in God. many people are who wants to live their faith freely, without having a relationship with the community, the church!

gospel continues saying: "After eight days were again inside and Thomas with them disciples." The change is noticeable now Thomas is with the community and so if you can recognize the Lord: "My Lord and my God."

The role of the Christian community, as a reference group to live the faith is essential. Look how he presents the book of Acts, the first Christian community, probably idealized description:

were constant listening to the teachings of the apostles.

were constant in the breaking of bread.

lived all together and had everything in common.

highlights three dimensions: evangelization (the teachings of the apostles), the liturgy (the breaking of bread) and love (living together). Three dimensions that we try to live in the church in each community: we catechesis to carry out the teachings of the apostles; we have celebrations of the sacraments and we Caritas institution to the extent possible, no needy among us. If the parish did not have in mind these three dimensions, fail their experience of faith.

personal level, in living faith, the same happens in the first communities. Faith has three dimensions: listen to the teachings of the apostles (training), to hold faith with the community (breaking of bread) and live the faith commitment (living together and had everything in common.) So if our personal faith lacks any of these dimensions, faith is shaken.

Some people need more training to take their faith a personal choice to follow Jesus Christ, because faith is primarily sociological, ie, have certain religious practices because it is a custom or tradition.

Some people need more to celebrate their faith in the sacraments of Penance and the Eucharist, as they have some religious experience, but they forget to come by the church. For faith does not tilt need of the grace received in the sacraments.

Still others require more compromise their faith in daily life because they have a personal experience of faith and celebrate the sacraments, but not just to show their faith in the concrete circumstances of his life.

And we are all need to meet with the risen Christ and experiencing His mercy to bring such love to others.

May the Lord take hold our faith in the resurrection and increase our sense of belonging to the Christian community.
